Tailsaver Review
Posted in Reviews by Rami | Tags: Review, Safety Gear, Snowboarding Accessories, tailsaverLet’s face it, as riders, we all fall on our asses a lot and sometimes it can hurt. There’s nothing worse than a broken/fractured tail bone, especially in the middle of snowboarding season. This is where this little nifty product comes into play. Tailsaver is a simple tailbone /butt protector which is made from ridiculously (their words, not mine) lightweight EVA foam. The good thing about it is that you won’t even notice or feel it when you put it on. It’s perfect for both parks and all mountain riding, especially if you’re just starting out. As the picture below shows, it’s rather hassle free.
After testing the Tailsaver myself, I have to say that it’s a great product. Even though I’m an experienced rider, I still do fall from time to time and when I do, I no longer have to worry about my ass as much.
The Good:
- Easy to put on
- Lightweight/comfortable
- Inexpensive
The Bad:
- No plastic shell means hard falls will still hurt (but then again, any super hard fall will still hurt)
- The lower you sag your pants, the less effective it is, since it clips onto your pants waistline (this is a warning to all you ‘cool’ people out there)
It’s available to North American, EU, and Australian folks and you can buy your Tailsaver from here.

Safe riding and don’t forget to let us know what you think!
