Any chance you might know where to get the adapters from in the uk, just bought a 2011 custom and can’t find the adapters anywhere, I’ve emailed burton but no reply as yet….help…please going away in 4 weeks…..

Unfortunately not. The adapter works to fit into the channel slot in the board and then have the non-EST bindings fit into the adapter. Whether Burton can or can’t technically make an adapter to work the other way around, they have chosen not to make one available. From the looks of it though, it would be risky to do that anyways.

Does it work the other way? Can you use the new bindings on an older burton board? I have one from ’08 but need new bindings.

Thanks for your post. I called the local ValSurf and they are $30 bucks. So, then I called the number you listed and Burton ships them for FREE!!! You rock, thanks for the number!

Fool (at least that’s what you’ve called yourself), consider reading the post in full first. I don’t mention that non-Burton bindings will work with the adapters. I specifically respond to the question “will my old Burton bindings work with the ICS boards?”… and yes they do when fitted with the adapters.

Do your friends ever say, “Rami, you’re a fool and have no idea what you are talking about,”? The adapter that comes from burton will only fit bindings that have the same size and tooth setup as burton baseplates and bindings do. So for example, they will not work with flow or ride bindings.
