Ride Snowboards iPhone Application
Some good news for iPhone users today. Ride Snowboards has just launched their new free application for all snowboarding iPhone owners this past week. The app features all sorts of Ride products (including boards, bindings, outwear, boots, etc) and also entails some cool live news updates and other interesting features.
The most talked about features of the entire application though and more specifically the ones that make the app definitely worth downloading is the Featured Riders and Videos on the Go sections. Design wise, the application is ridiculously easy to browse around and uses the iPhone’s gestures to help you flip through from product and product and screen to screen more easily. Snowboard and accessory shopping is a cinch with the application, with descriptions and specs on all sorts of different snowboarding products available within seconds.
A Dealer Locator feature also lets you search and browse for local snowboarding dealers based on a set location. In addition to this, you can save images while shopping for later use or viewing so you won’t forget them — or you can just show your friends how cool something is or ask for opinions.
All in all, it’s a very deep and useful application — especially as far as current iPhone’s apps are concerned. There certainly aren’t a ton of iPhone apps like this that are not only well-made but are useful in the long term as well. Most snowboarding brands (or any “brand” for that matter) are just interested in advertising themselves moreso than actually putting out a good product. It’s great to see that Ride is actually concerned with putting out a useful app and it is just one more thing to show you how awesome and reputable of a company that they are.
In conclusion, if you have an iPhone and are even a casual snowboarder, then you need to get this application. Go check it out or download it to your iPhone.
